Not so good. Went here with my friend (the bride) to order bridesmaid dresses. Everything was fine until they measured me for my dress and I told them the measurements were wrong but they insisted they measured me right. After the dresses were back, They were VERY rude to the bride about picking the dresses up .. even though the wedding was still 6 months away. I picked up my dress and it was the WRONG size.. it was falling off of me and the bottom of the dress went a foot past my feet. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Now I have to pay to get my dress fixed. Go some place where they care about you and listen to you!

I would recommend this place for every bride and the dress she desires, whether you are a ballgown diva, an earthy mermaid, or a simplistic traditional, these 3 have got you covered. I was a rather complex bride in the essence that i knew exactly what i wanted, and I could not find it anywhere. I picked 3 dresses, one of the style that i liked which was mermaid, one of the color i needed, and one with the fabric i wanted. I also wanted extreme alterations(I wanted an open back with a cowl design to dip across the small of my back.) I estimated that this would be very pricey and a pain, but Gary made it happen. Within a month i had my mermaid dress ordered in candlelight color, without certain beading, in silkish fabric. This dress was not in the store, it was a mixed culmination of 3, and it was no problem for them. Loretta, the alterations attendant, had the entire back of my dress reconstructed completely and all alterations done for an extremely reasonable price. The conversations with Gary and Clarence were great, they treated my fiance and I like family and we were thoroughly impressed with both of their strength of character and ability to adapt to any situation and appease any bride, no matter the circumstances. We had been to several other shops together (my family was not in the picture) and experienced horrid attendants that demanded that we follow traditions and he could not see my dress or help me, and were very aggressive with their "traditional" beliefs. But Gary and Clarence stayed late numerous times in helping me and my fiance get alterations exactly as we needed them, these 2 truely love what they do and it shows! You are missing out on the dress/gown of your dreams if you don't try Bridal Bliss, whatever your heart desires, these 2 can make it happen! Blessings to you guys, we love you!

great dresses, keep recipt, use different alterations. i started out loving them but it all changed at the end they have beautiful dresses but a lousy alterations lady they will tell you she can do all this stuff and then when you meet with her she cannot do any of it we paid her over 200.00 for alterations and 3 days before the wedding they were still not right had to take it somewhere else to be fixed and cost another 60.00 which no one ever reimbursed me the lady almost ruined a beautiful dress cannot even do a simple hem the dress was to long after 2 times trying bought higher heel shoes still to long the straps were supposed to come with the dress they are supposed to be attached co. forgot to send them we got them no problem but i had to pay for them to be sewed on and she could not get that right i dont think i should have had to pay for that when they are attached at the front that is one reason we picked that dress was the criss cross straps most dresses come with straps opt not this one they are attached at the front after asking for the veil numerous times it was left out this was a out of town wedding when it was discovered we had already gone fortunatley my sister in law was still in town and picked it up they said it was our fault we were upset over alterations thats not true. there were customers in the shop and they wanted us out also if you use the lawaway KEEP YOUR RECIPT many times i went to pay and he told me i owed more than i did i had my recipt so there was not a problem . DO NOT USE ALTERATIONS THERE bridal bliss will not help you in any bad alterations you are on your own they will not stand behind you.had i known as much as i loved the dress i would have gone somewhere else and not have the hassel .
Bridal Bliss is the best!. The service that I experienced at Bridal Bliss was wonderful- they really show how much they care about helping make your day THE most special day of your life- they will help you pick out gowns to try on, give you assistance and answer TONS of questions (admit it, we brides have a lot : ) ), and just make it so much fun. They had so much to choose from, so many dresses in many different styles, all you have to do is narrow down which one you love the least- because they are all beautiful. The prices are really great too. Bridal Bliss rocks!
Would not recommend going ANYWHERE else!! Best place to by a wedding dress!!!. I started my quest for the perfect dress in Jan 08. I went to every bridal shop with in reasonable distance to where I lived. Everything I found was either in budget but made from the cheapest fabrics or were made from the perfect fabrics and priced WAY out of budget. The day I found this shop in Homewood I had just left a place down the road. At this shop I tried on the most expensive dress of my quest topping out at 7k. I was dissapionted & ready to give up on my 3 month search. When I was leaving I saw a building and made a call to see if they had an appointment. To my suprise they told me to come on in they did not require appointments. I went in expecting more of the same. I looked around and all the dresses were right there for you to look at & try on at your leasure (unlike the other place with the $7k gown, where you were unable to view their stock & had to trust their skill). While looking around I notced the quality of the gowns & I started to walk out to avoid further disappoitment with a dress I was unable to afford. Gary stopped me and asked me if there was anything he could help with and I let him know what I was looking for and he showed me a few and I was amazed. Gary was great he stayed about 30 min past the time he closed to help me while I tried on MANY dresses. I just couldn't help myself. Every single dress in the shop was within my budget even the dresses inspired by Grace Kelly. I felt terrible when I found out how late it was but Gary told me not to worry. And if you have ever been to see Gary you know exactly what I meen when I say he truly loves what he does and cares about his brides and will make sure you leave in what looks good on you. To make a long story a little shorter my entire experience with this shop was unbelievable. Gary and his little shop will always hold a special place in my heart and if this review helps him get 100 customers I'm not sure it's enough to repay him for how special he made the experience and my wedding day.
Best Bridal Shop.
My experience with Bridal Bliss was wonderful. I went to a couple of different stores, and this was the only store that did not require me to make an appointment and provide detailed information just to get in the store. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, and they actually encourage you to touch the dresses which is unheard of at most bridal salons. I was amazed by the large selection of dresses at Bridal Bliss. I tried on several and ended up selecting a dress from the Grace Kelly inspired collection. It was absolutely beautiful and everything that I had dreamed of. The price was way below what I thought that I would have to spend even with the cost of alterations. I expected it to take 5 months for my dress to come in but it ended up arriving early.
Gary and Clarence were so amazing and were always willing to go the extra for mile. They steamed my dress for me and had it waiting when I would come in. We ended up ordering our tuxedos through Bridal Bliss as well and were very pleased. I would have ordered my bridesmaids' dresses here if I had not already done so. I cannot say enough good things about this store and the service that Gary and Clarence provide. Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful, but Gary and Clarence did everything they could to make my experience a pleasurable one. They were such a blessing to me during my wedding, and I would recommend this store to anyone.
Greatest Bridal Boutique in Alabama. I recently purchased my wedding gown from Bridal Bliss in Homewood, AL. The customer service was better than ANY other bridal shop I've visited. They were very attentive. The owner personally helped me with my dress and allowed me to make changes to the final product. The prices were VERY reasonable! I'll tell all my girlfriends to go to Bridal Bliss!
Every girls dream.
Our daughter recently married and one of the most overwhelming comments was how beautiful her dress was. We of course were very happy with it but were astonished at how truly lovely every one else thought our daughter and the gown was. Clarence, Gary and Miss Lydia were accommodating in every, every way. The price was much more than reasonable. Clarence really listened to the vision our daughter had in mind for that day and did his best to make just that happen. I love the respect with which you treat each one of your brides. No question was too trival for Gary. He is most knowledgeable about the lines they carry and very honest in his answers. Gary your suggestions were invaluable. Miss Lydia a quiet but encouraging assistant as we tried on many of their lovely gowns.
By far the most amazing gifts they gave us are the following: 1) Confidence in what we were choosing was right for our daughter and her vision of the day she would be marrying the man of her dreams.What peace of mind this was for us. 2) Service. Although Bridal Bliss has countless beautiful brides, we were important to them. We didn't have to explain who we were when we would call with a question or update. Our dress came in early! 3) Kindness. Which goes right along with service. Really I should say sincererity. They truly shared in our joy. Many thanks to each of you at Bridal Bliss. What a blessing you have been to us. We have and will continue to recommend you to every bride we come in contact with that wants a 'dress of her dreams' for her special day.
Great experience. I went to 5 bridal stores before I found the dress I wanted at Bridal Bliss. They helped me customize my order, changing the neckline of the dress and the beading. Everything was perfect when I came for my first fitting- I did not have to change one thing to the dress or the veil. Their tailor was great- she sewed my buttons and bustle expertly and quickly. They stored the dress and steamed it for the wedding day. Gary was extremely nice, relaxed and helpful. You can tell that they take pride in their dresses and customers. Overall it was a great experience because I did not have to worry about the dress at all.
RESPONSE: Worst Bridal Shop I Have Ever Stepped Foot In.... The gowns in Bridal Bliss are not "worn" and we offer a wide selection of store samples. We offer the highest of quality customer service. Our staff is never rude or condesending toward a customer. The bride gained 4 inches in the waist which equals approximately 40 lbs. in weight gain. The bride's mother stated the bride was taking medication which caused the weight gain; then stated the bride had subsequently stopped taking the medication. Bridal Bliss cannot absorb the cost of reording a special made gown due to the bride gaining weight between the time of ordering and arrival. Bridal Bliss, in an effort to solve this weight gain problem, offered the bride the store sample which was new and a larger size. The bride then took the offer and Bridal Bliss traded out the gown. Furthermore, on the matter of paying for the gown, the contract at Bridal Bliss states the funds for a special ordered gown are due half upon ordering the gown and the balance upon the gowns arrival at Bridal Bliss. The bride agreed to and signed the contract. There are no exceptions to this policy. Finally, this bride was satisfied to the fullest in the choosing of her gown, the ordering of her gown and our customer service and became disatisfied only at the point of realizing her gown did not fit due to her weight gain.
