About a month ago I had a problem with the ignition switch in my vehicle so I called Birmingham Benz, since the problem was with my ignition and it would have to be replaced and I need a new key I was told I would need to take it to the dealer. I told them I was taking the car to Crown and was told by Birmingham Benz to take it to Leigh Mercedes in Tuscaloosa because Crown would only overcharge me. Apparently, Birmingham Benz has some type of deal or connection with Leigh Mercedes because they charged me almost double what Crown would have charged. Mysteriously after I picked my car up from Leigh Mercedes (whom I would never in my life deal with again, poor customer service) the air conditioner was only blowing warm air. I like a fool took the car to Birmingham Benz and was told I needed a Flap Motor, Compressor, and Condenser, and Coolant, which would have been $2,239.00+. I just could not believe I needed a new compressor and condenser with the air blowing strong from the vents. I paid them $110.00 for the diagnosis and decided I would have it checked by Crown. I took the car to Crown and was told I only needed something adjusted in the Control Module and Coolant and it would be $908.00. I feel as though Birmingham Benz was going to take my money just because I was a young woman alone and didnt know what the problem could have been. I am so glad I followed my mind and took the car to Crown. Be careful folks. Just because people say Birmingham Benz will do you right its not so. I know from my own experience.
