Five Stars!!!!. I do not understand the below review by ChristyGonz AT ALL. I'm a Samford student, and I've been going to Starz often for the past year and a half, because it quickly turned into one of my favorite places to go.

I started going for friend's birthdays and bachelorette parties, and it was sooo fun.

My friends love going, but even when they don't, there are local regulars there (plus Ricky the bartender and April the karaoke DJ) that are so friendly, you don't need to bring a big group to have a good time.

The bar is frequented by UAB and Samford students, it's true, but I primarily see locals there.

Ricky and April remember names and faces well, and they easily recognize the people that have been there before.

April rotates the list of karaoke singers perfectly, so everyone gets a turn in a fair amount of time, and the crowd is great so singing is fun.

Hit up Starz! and give Ricky a good tip! The place deserves it.

Worst expierance ever. We were from out of town and had locals advise of to go there. As soon as we got there they gave us a hard time getting in then they sat us and then later told us we needed to move b.c some other people needed our table. After moving us to the corner we couldn't see the stage nor get service. The bartender, waitress and door girl were so rude to us that we had 2 drinks and left. Not to mention I smoke but the place had so much smoke in it with no venilation inside. I must say it was the worst expierance and would Never go there again!

this club has potential. Overall, not a bad place to hang out. The service is great, and the food is good. The crowd is primarily college, with attitude, but we had fun. The only thing this club lacks is talented singers....We'll be back i'm sure.
