Cold pizza and bad service.
Tonight (8/27/09) my roommate and I and 6 of our friends went to eat at Tomatapie in Trussville. We've eaten there before and have always enjoyed it, but it has been a few months since we were there. Tonight, my roommate and I ordered the medium The Works pizza. It seemed like forever until we got it, and when it arrived, it was cold. The cheese had melted and already hardened. It also seemed to be a bit undercooked. We saw the female waitress at the table next to us so we asked her if she could get either the manager or the server for us as our pizza was cold. She went to the front of the place and was speaking with whom I believe to be the manager, and about 5-6 minutes later, the server arrived. He offered to take the pizza off the bill, which, of course, we agreed to. He also offered to give us a to-go box for us to take the pizza home. We declined. We also had a loaf of the cheese bread and a side salad. We asked for the bill When the bill arrived, we found out that they included the tip, but added our tip AFTER they added in the cost of the pizza, although the cost was deducted. So, we paid a tip for the entire bill (including the pizza). Needless to say, we were not pleased with this, so we paid the bill and left. On our way home, one of our friends who was with us called my roommate and told him that the manager came to the table to apologize. How convenient that we had already left!! Needless to say, we will never enter that place again. Oh yeah, the service was SLOW.

do i have to give this place a star?awful food, awful service. the server was rude and spoke to us in the manner of "what do you want?" the food we received was hardly cooked and by the point we got the food(an hour later)we were starving. when we were brought the food she didnt ask us if we needed anything, just slammed the plates and food down on the table and walked off! i was going to put some parmesean cheese on my food but the container was empty!throughout the meal she never once refilled our glasses or asked if we needed anything! i wouldnt recommend this place to anyone! tomata pie consider yourself BLACKLISTED!

Pizza Good. Wild Indians Bad..
OMG, This place was a zoo. Don't go If you are looking for a quiet evening. Kids everwhere! They were practically swinging from the ceiling.
Pizza and service were very good in spite of the chaos. If you like good pizza and your kids like to swing from the rafters, this is your place!

Best Pizza in the Trussville Area.
The pizza is delicious as well as the other menu items, calzones, pasta, etc. They have the coldest draft beer in town. It has ice chips in it when it is served. The atmoshpere is great. It is a really good place to take your whole family. They have a game room and the games are free!!!!!!!
