Professional and pleasurable experience.

I recently visited Diana's Salon for the first time as a result of picking up a very good coupon for the Salon from a neighboring business.

I was badly in need of base color and highlights and some professional guidance. My appointment was booked with Angela Haslem. My hair is baby fine, blonde and not easy to work with and not very forgiving of mistakes. Angela gave me her professional opinion, then Diana weighed in with hers and we were off with a plan I felt comfortable with. Yes I was nervous. I could not have been happier with the results. The color was perfect, but the experience was even better. Angela was attentive to all the details needed for fine hair, which I greatly appreciated. I felt she was totally focused on me and her work. I read some of the reviews about being charged $20 for a blow dry. This also is a pet peeve of mine, especially after spending a lot of money on a color service. I don't expect a "style", just a simple use of the hair dryer to determine what just happened with the color. I was quickly blown dry in 3-4 minutes and we both could see the beautiful color. After spending 17 years with my previous stylist and feeling very taken for granted, I was ready to be treated like I was an important customer again. Angela did all this and then some. Angela will be my new stylist. My overall experience with the salon and Angela was very positive and I sincerely recommend this salon.

Great Experience

When I moved to Birmingham, I was very reluctant when trying to find someone to cut my hair. The first three places I went to was a bad experience so I drove back home 11/2 hours to get my hair cut. It was shortly after that a client of mine carried on about Diana's Salon until I took a fourth and final chance.

The last chance paid off as I have been going for 4 years now. I am greeted each time with the up-most hospitality and offered water, coffee, cookies, etc. Cindy Tucker has done more than a great job and I would recommend her to anyone. If you are looking for a great atmosphere and a great experience, I recommend Diana's Salon!

Dianna is unbelievable!

I am not a customer of Diana's Salon. I am a happy client of Fancy Fur (Pet grooming) next door to Diana's. Jan. 2009, I was taking my dog into FF, when Diana, (herself) stuck her head out of her door and said, in a crabby tone, "Mam! Don't let your dog pee on that bush, people have to work in their with their hands!" I said NOTHING and walked on. Then the following Jan. 2010 I parked my car in front of her business and took my dog into FF. When I returned, my husband said that "someone" came out and told him that our dog SHOULD NOT PEE ON THE BUSHES. (this time our dog had not tinckled). I kindly walked in and in a low voice ask to speak to the person that had complained. Diana was standing nearly in front of me with a client and said that it was her. After I kindly told her that my dog was not guilty and to never say anything to us again about our dog. Then she began ranting that I was parked in front of her business. I indicated that she should have said so, I could have moved. She then became angry and raised her voice for me to leave. I did leave-especially after she opened the door and yelled it again. When I picked my dog up that evening, I learned that she had called the police on me, but there was nothing that they could do, being that no crime had happened. I am NOT the only one that has dealt with her rants about this issue. I did call the Landlord and report the incident.

Not anymore

I had been going to the salon for about 5 years. The last time I went in for the exact same thing, shampoo, cut and style, they charged me an extra $15 because a flat iron was used. They never had previously nor was i told ahead of time that they had started charging. That is absolutely absurd. I will not be going back there.
