Great location, a must stay, friendly service. My stay at the Studio Plus Birmingham was a very pleasant experience. I stayed there with my group (The Bell Singers) from Memphis, Tennessee during the American Gospel Quartet Convention held January 16-20th. We stayed there for 3 days - January 16-18th. When I enter a hotel, the first thing I notice is how clean the lobby is and how it smells, well Studio plus did not disappoint me, beautiful entryway and pleasure atmosphere! No cigarette or stale oder smell! Yuk! I hate that!! The attendant was very nice, friendly and helpful- both attendants when check in and checking out. The rooms were very nice and spacious and the kitchen was an added plus so we could just buy some groceries, cook in the kitchen and save money. And when we did go out to eat, there are an abundance of food places, walmart and other shopping areas all around. The only draw back I could see was I didn't see any elevators, which made it very hard for us to drag our luggage! Thank the Lord we had some gentlemen with us to help with the luggage, otherwise we would have been up the creek! But all in all, it was a win, win, situation all around for us. I would definitely stay there again and would definitely recommend to others.

Never Again. I arrived at Studio Plus at 2:45, and was told in a very unfriendly tone of voice that I wouldn't be able to check in until 3:00.

When I did get to check in, it was done by a person who didn't seem to like her job. She was not helpful nor friendly; she never smiled and was rude.

When I checked out, the lady wanted to put my bill on my credit card even though I had paid cash. Then she wanted to put my security deposit on my credit card even though I had put it up in cash.

My wife and I stayed two nights. We got up around 7:00 A.M. and returned around 4:00 P.M. When we got back to our room, it had not been cleaned. The cleaning lady finally came around at 6:00 only to tell me she didn't have time to clean.
