The ambience at Surin is nicer on the "entry" half of the restaurant. I was dining alone and wanted a table, so I was seated in the fluorescent lighted second dining room (by the sushi bar). It took about 7 minutes for someone to take my drink order, and when it arrived, there was lipstick on the glass. I ordered Tom Kha Chicken soup (known at Surin as chicken with coconut) and Pad That. These are both staples at Thai restaurants, so they should be a good indicator of the overall quality. The Tom Kha soup was quite good, but the Pad Thai was average. I do give them points for the meat quality -- the chicken was all white meat and very tender. Overall, Surin is a good value for the money, but it is not exceptional.
