Food is not fabulous (just ok). I went here for the first time in their new location in Soho. I felt like our food was just ok, and the service was so-so, because it was hard to get ahold of the waiter. We ordered calamari for an appetizer, which was heavily breaded but pretty good. I had shrimp diavolo which was the best thing we ordered. My mother got something with a butter sauce which tasted bland, and wasn't very hot when it arrived.

My other complaint is the crappy salad that comes with any entree. This salad is literally only iceberg lettuce + dressing. And they don't even offer caesar dressing--at an Italian place?!

Our food/ experience wasn't terrible, but I'd rather eat somewhere else.

Great food as usual. Food is always hot. Been eating there since I was a kid and always tastes great. Hardest part is deciding what to get. I recommend going with: Fried zuchinni or Baked Oysters for Apetizer Baked Lasagna or Stuffed Shells for dinner

Or Go on Wed for lunch and get the Fried chicken for something different. Their Meat and 3 changes daily for lunch and is a great addition.

not like old times AT ALL. Ive known the Lovoy family for years and would have never imagined that they would leave their name on such a sad little place. The food has suffered severly with the passing down of the business. Still a Lovoy running behind the scene but NOT the Lovoys we know and loved. We visited recently and first thing no warm welcome as usual, very uptight service behind the register..Lighten up big boy!! The servers looked like waffle house waiters after a long hard night..and omg!! paper napkins??? really not a friendly face to be had. The food was sufferable because we chose the basics, but to us the service and atmosphere can really hurt a dining experience and like i said before..the new guy really isnt a Lovoy....We miss you Tom ..Lovoys misses you ..(we think of you and your dear sweet Priscilla often)

Avoid Period. By far this was the worst restaurant I have eaten at in at least 5 years. I had the Lasagna which was two pieces of pasta with ricotta cheese in between covered in the most bland red sauce ever and mozzarella cheese. The $3 frozen stoffers lasagna put this lasagna to shame. It was just bland and nothing but sauce.

The place reminded me of the crappy Italian restaurant in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The dining area was very dark and dank and the carpeted floor was very dirty.

I would only recommend this place if you really really hate yourself and you want stomach to hurt and hate you.

Best pizza and homemade Italian Dressing. I have been eating at this restaurant for more than 25 years. It has been consistantly good food and service. It is a family owned restaurant that has maintained its quaintness and quality of food. My family and I have made it a tradition to go to this restaurant for birthdays and special occasions for over 25 years. I would highly recommend it highly to anyone. Bon Appetite!!!!

Lovoy's was delicious. It is as if you have stepped though a door and gone back north to some of the great Italian restuarants up there. No chain feel here. The food and service are great. Have been there about 5 times and a great experience every time.

Dissappointed. Well, I've heard what a great Italian place this was. I finally got to try it one day and I was very dissappointed. The service was average to bad and the food had no taste. I will never go back there again.
