I love V. Richards. I am about to drive over there now. At Christmas I bought a Choclate Pie that was one of the best I have ever tasted. Paid about $14 dollars for it...worth EVERY SINGLE BITE... Also their Ruben's are fantastic... I highly recommend V. Richards, I love the staff there, the food, you can park right out the door. They also have a small grocery store that pedals unusual items. I do wish they would upgrade the dining tables and chairs adding a bit more of comfort, class and elegance. Ok I am leaving now before someone reads what I have written here and buys my pie I am going after BEFORE ME....
Pros: Their homemade bakery items, convient, large selection of bread, this list could go on and on
Cons: would like more comfortable seating

They had watch the parking lot to make sure you dont go somewhere else, they lost the service when they moved, seafood is not fresh, walk around and look at the dumpster in the rear, then go inside to eat.
Pros: The door opens by itself.....
Cons: The cashier, Lacrisha Banitta Wanitta Jackson

V's is the best - especially if you live in the neighborhood and visit often. The store has become the centerpiece jewel in Forest Park - in fact, before I moved from my previous residence on Southside, a huge criteria for my new residence was a location from which I could easily walk to V Richards (and back with a bottle of wine and various hard-find-cheeses)! Here are some of my favorite things about V's: -You can buy a case of wine and get a 15% discount (this includes mixed cases!) -A wide price range of wine selections - and you can count on even the lowest priced wines (meaning under $10!) tasting great! -You can buy a bottle of wine at its normal retail cost (no cork fee, no mark up) and drink it right there with a gourmet meal! my boyfriend and i can eat a gourmet dinner there - complete with bottle of wine - for around $30! A similar meal at a high-end restaurant would easily cost 2-3 times as much. -Local food products like blue grits and arugula -Fabulous cheese choices -Fresh baked bread -they're open late - 8:00 every night - not bad for a small market -generous samples from the bakery! V Richards is an integral part of life in Forest Park - I love it!
Pros: The tarragon chicken salad rocks! Good parking, quality foods, inviting atmosphere, prices on many basic items are just as good as other stores
Cons: some specialty/pre-prepared items are pricey but the quality is worth it & supporting local, small business is an imperative!
