Anytime my husband & I are in the Birmingham area, we visit Doodles. The food and atmosphere are excellent & we always get plenty to eat. Together, we have tried almost everything on the menu, & everything has been wonderful.

If your order does get messed up, the staff is eager to please & will correct the mistake immediately.

Since I have a sweet tooth, I always get a dessert. My favorites are the ooey-gooeys & bread pudding. My husband likes the cookies.

If you get a chance, take a drive to Fultondale & give the restaurant a try!

Good Food, Great People

Doodles is a quaint restaurant in Fultondale. I actually started eating at Doodles when it was located in Southside. Although I do not get to go often, it is worth the drive when I do. I love the po-boys & crawfish etouffee. I also love the slaw ~ it has a sweet dressing that is also good on the po-boys. If you have a sweet tooth, the peanut butter milkshakes are wonderful!

• Pros: The wait staff are friendly & the owner is a hoot!
• Cons: Too far away!

Worth the drive

The owner is usually there making sure everthing goes smoothly, but even when he isn't, the service is top notch. Kind of a hole-in-the-wall place with the atmosphere more like a diner, but the food is shockingly good and the service is always with a smile and attentive.

Food is fresh with obviously high quality ingredients. I highly recommend it for a great meal.
