To: Everyone working at Kirklin Clinic I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you at Kirklin Clinic who helped me before, during, and after the liver transplant. I am past six months and (in the words of James Brown) “I feel good like I knew that I would”. Everyone involved in evaluation, preparation, execution, recovery, and rehabilitation did an outstanding job. I certainly feel that I would have died before the end of 2007 had I not received the liver transplant. So in the words of Sly and the Family Stone, “I want to thank you falettinme be miceelf agin”. Being a musician I am pursuing rewriting a song I started years ago. It kind of expresses what getting older is like. “I’m not half the man I used to be and I never was”. Sounds kind of country, I think. Being a religious sort of guy, I believe you do so much as part of a greater plan. Sometimes I think lik the new words from the Eagles. I have a “frail grasp on the big picture”. Nevertheless I still keep writing and sing-ing songs that mean something to me. My wife and I wrote this for a new album. GOD ALONE KNOWS THE MASTER PLAN God alone knows the Master plan. He is truly the Lord of all time. He will make me a better man While I make Him the Lord of my life. The Lord didn’t choose to take me. He left me here a little longer. His Master plan was to make me Follow closer and love Him stronger. He has never been a stranger. He always held my life in His hand. He has sheltered me from danger. He helped me up when I could not stand. When I thought I would surely die God interceded with healing power. When life just seemed to pass me by God was with me every single hour. Again, thank you Kirklin Clinic with all my heart. My wife, family, and friends thank you, too. May you continue to prosper while saving lives and giving patients another chance. You should be proud of your many accomplishments. Johnnie Leon Gray
Pros: Great service from all personnel!
Cons: Parking could be better, but all large facilities have the same problem.
