Travel Abroad without Leaving Home

This is my absolute favorite restaurant anywhere. For my birthday, I drove in from out-of-state to have dinner. It's a little expensive. Sometimes, they have a buy-one-get-one coupon in the Birmingham Entertainment coupon book. They make fresh salsa table-side in volcano bowls and serve with homemade potato and plantain chips. It's pretty spicy, so I prefer it mild. If you have never had a mojito mixed drink, this is the place for your first one. It's fresh and minty, extraordinary! I always order the pork medallians in syrup with black bean pancakes (worth ordering an extra side of)! There's nothing like it. The atmosphere is fantastick and romantic. Come with a small group, but leave the kids at home. You will feel transported to a luxurious and fun Latin getaway. We've never had to wait for a seat, but we always make reservations, just in case. Enjoy!

One of the city's best

Surprisingly, very little attention is paid to this very well located place and its very talented chef/owner. I am not certain that you can have a bad meal here. Huge variety of latin flavors in a very comfortable setting. The salsa made tableside is NOT to be missed. The wine list is good, but encourage your server to select bar drinks to go with your meal.
